Localization and perception systems

The robotics laboratory has both software and hardware for the development of cognitive perception systems, as well as for the development of accurate localization systems in indoor and outdoor applications used for trajectory analysis and motion capture.

  • 2D and 3D laser scanners
  • RADAR systems (Radio Detection and Ranging)
  • RGB (Red Green Blue) and IR (Infrared) digital camera systems
  • Odometric systems and IMUs (Inertial Measurement Unit)
  • Optitrack motion capture system
  • High-precision GPS RTK (Global Positioning System Real Time Kinematic) system
  • UWB (Ultra Wide Band) based positioning system for indoor and outdoor use
